Looks like a sweet kid, and indeed he is. Also, he is a great and valuable teacher. We haven't really thought about child-proofing our house yet, since IMRP is not exactly mobile. Here are some things Oliver taught us.
- Kids like fireplace tools. Sharp iron sticks!
- Kids like fireplace grates. Easy to push over! Loud noise!
- Kids like pressing buttons. All our A/V stuff is in a cabinet down toward the floor.
- Kids like wine bottles. We have a wine rack where it is really easy to pull out the lower bottles and throw them on the floor!
- Kids like cabinets. Our kitchen has lots of lower-level cabinets. The pots and pans make big loud noises!
- Kids like CDs. We have floor to ceiling bookcases filled with hundreds of CDs. All of which can be scattered around the floor with ease! In fact, the bookcases make for great climbing.
- There is a good reason you make kids wait for chocolate chip cookies to cool down. Very little of the chocolate goes in their mouth.
- Bass guitars are easy to knock over.
- Upright basses take more effort, but make a bigger noise.
