I played "Rock Band" (the videogame) for the first time yesterday. Despite being able to actually play "Tom Sawyer" note for note on actual instruments since I was 16 years old, I couldn't do much better than holding my head above water on medium difficulty (where you play only the really important notes and the computer fills in the rest) trying to play bass on that song in the game. Maybe with a little practice.
It's kind of a cool game though. Not sure if it has positive or negative value as a learning tool.
